About Bold City Smart Home
Technology has been part of the story long before Bold City had a name.
Bold City Smart Home is a locally owned technology integration company serving homes and businesses across Jacksonville and Northeast Florida. We design and install security camera systems, professional networks and Wi-Fi, home theaters and whole-home audio, commercial AV, and the low-voltage infrastructure that brings those systems together.
Owner Brandon Eichhorn’s interest in connected technology started early. As a teenager, he built his family’s first Wi-Fi network in 2007 for a very practical reason: getting an Xbox 360 online. That early interest in networking, gaming, speed and latency eventually became a career.
Brandon entered the telecommunications industry in 2014 as a field technician with Suddenlink, completing formal technical training and working hands-on with HFC networks, broadband installation and service, Wi-Fi, MoCA, voice, television and residential security. Over the next decade, his career expanded from field installation and troubleshooting into residential and business technology consulting.
His experience later included AT&T, where his technical background carried into customer-facing technology and enterprise solutions, and Comcast Business, where he worked directly with businesses on connectivity, voice, failover and fiber solutions.
More recently, working with Jacksonville-based fiber provider IQ Fiber added hands-on experience with modern fiber-to-the-premises infrastructure. That combination of field experience and solution design still shapes the way Bold City operates today.
Owner-led from planning through installation
Bold City isn’t built around selling the biggest equipment package possible. Every project starts with understanding the property, the problem and what the customer actually wants the technology to accomplish.
Brandon remains personally involved from the initial conversation and system design through equipment selection, installation, configuration and the final walkthrough. The same person helping plan your system is accountable for how it performs when the work is finished.
That experience now translates into projects ranging from residential camera systems and home theaters to new-construction prewire, business networks and technology infrastructure for commercial facilities.
