Historic Orange Park Security Retrofit

Project Overview
The owner of a historic Orange Park home wanted better security coverage without treating the property like ordinary new construction. Bold City planned a hardwired camera system around the home’s architecture, the customer’s budget and the need to limit disturbance of original materials such as plaster.
The Challenge
Cable paths and mounting locations needed careful consideration in the established home. Coverage also had to reach a separate garage/outbuilding, extending the system beyond the main residence without unnecessarily opening historic surfaces.
The Solution
Attic and crawlspace access provided cable routes where practical. Bold City used buried conduit to extend protected infrastructure to the outbuilding, where additional cameras were installed. Exterior camera positioning and a video doorbell added useful views around the property while keeping the installation approach sensitive to the existing structure.
Equipment & Infrastructure
The approved system included approximately six 4MP security cameras, an 8-channel 4K NVR and approximately 2TB of local surveillance storage, along with the video doorbell and infrastructure serving the outbuilding.
Installation & Progress

Result
The home and outbuilding gained hardwired security coverage with local recording. Thoughtful routing helped balance security, budget and respect for the historic building; the project did not depend on invasive wiring through every finished surface.
