Manufacturing Facility Network Overhaul

Project Overview

Bold City completed a network overhaul for a manufacturing facility, combining Ubiquiti equipment, MDF and IDF racks, and Wi-Fi and network remediation. Implementation took place over a weekend to avoid production interruption.

The Challenge

A manufacturing network has to serve the actual facility layout and connected equipment. The existing network needed an overhaul, and the installation schedule needed to account for ongoing production. Rack locations, distribution and wireless coverage belonged in the same plan.

The Solution

Bold City implemented the Ubiquiti network and main and intermediate distribution infrastructure as a coordinated commercial project. The work addressed the network and Wi-Fi issues while organizing equipment around MDF and IDF locations.

Planning the transition around a weekend gave the installation a defined window outside production. The project joined equipment installation, facility access and network remediation instead of treating each as an isolated task.

Installation & Progress

Lift access allowed the team to work at the facility’s elevated network locations. The installation photograph shows that work on the manufacturing floor.

Result

The completed network overhaul established updated wired and wireless infrastructure across the facility, with equipment organized around the MDF and IDF locations.
