New-Construction Technology Prewire

Project Overview
For this ongoing new-construction residence, Bold City completed the low-voltage prewire phase before drywall. The infrastructure was planned as one connected system: networking, Wi-Fi, cameras, whole-home audio, AV and future property connectivity.
The Challenge
A large two-story home needs more than individual cable runs. The plan had to connect a downstairs main distribution/rack location (MDF) with an upstairs distribution point (IDF), provide an organized service-provider handoff and leave room for later equipment and additional property infrastructure.
The Solution
Cat6 runs were installed throughout the residence for network outlets, wireless access-point locations and security-camera prewire. Fiber backbone cabling was routed between the downstairs MDF and upstairs IDF locations for later termination. Audio prewire serves the Great Room, Kitchen, Back Patio and Game Room, including Game Room surround sound. Dedicated media locations and AV pathways were planned alongside those systems.
Equipment & Infrastructure
A dedicated ISP demarcation pathway carries communications cabling to the main technology location. Backbone and pathway planning also considered future gate and outbuilding connections, rack equipment, UPS/battery protection and possible ISP failover. Those later systems are provisions in the design, not claims of installed equipment.
Installation & Progress

Result
The completed prewire provides an organized foundation for later equipment installation and trim-out. This project remains ongoing: speakers, cameras, network equipment and final system commissioning are later phases. Planning the infrastructure before drywall keeps those future systems connected to the same overall design.
