Residential PoE Security Camera Installation

Project Overview
This residential project combined a hardwired PoE camera system and video doorbell with broader connectivity work. The installation needed to fit the home’s unusual exterior rather than rely on standard flat-soffit mounting.
The Challenge
Coquina/stone-type wall surfaces and soffit/eave geometry of approximately 45 degrees called for thoughtful mounting choices. Camera positioning had to work with those surfaces, and exposed cable paths needed protection suited to the exterior environment.
The Solution
Bold City selected mounting arrangements for the available surfaces and positioned cameras for useful property views. Exterior cabling was protected with conduit where appropriate for weather exposure, physical protection, resistance to accidental damage or tampering, and a cleaner finished appearance. Recording and remote viewing were configured as part of the system setup.
Equipment & Infrastructure
The residential security scope included approximately four PoE cameras, a video doorbell and an 8-channel NVR with approximately 2TB of local surveillance storage. The same residential technology work also included a Starlink installation, with dish mounting, wiring and router configuration.
Installation & Progress

Result
The home received a locally recorded camera system adapted to its architecture, with remote access and protected exterior cable routes. The accompanying connectivity work supported the property’s broader technology needs.
