Commercial Security Camera System Retrofit

Project Overview
A commercial janitorial-supply retail and distribution facility needed to update its security camera system and expand coverage. Bold City evaluated the existing equipment and built the upgrade around infrastructure that was still useful.
The Challenge
This was a retrofit, not a blank-slate installation. The project needed to bring existing and new cameras into one recording system, with camera views suited to the facility’s layout. Replacing every component would have discarded equipment that could continue serving the business.
The Solution
Bold City integrated three existing cameras, added three new cameras and routed and connected the system to a new recorder. Camera positions and fields of view were adjusted to make the coverage useful. We configured recording and remote viewing, tested system operation and walked the customer through using the upgraded system.
Equipment & Infrastructure
The six-camera system uses an 8-channel NVR with approximately 2TB of local surveillance storage. Centralized recording brings the retained cameras and expanded coverage together, with remote access configured for the customer.
Installation & Progress

Result
The facility received a modernized recording system and additional camera coverage while retaining usable existing infrastructure. The project shows how a practical commercial retrofit can improve the system without replacing everything.
