Whole-Home Media Wall, Networking & Security

Project Overview
The customer’s custom media-wall vision was one part of a broader residential technology project. Bold City coordinated with other contractors to plan and install the technology behind the finished appearance, while also handling networking, hardwired connectivity and security throughout the home.
The Challenge
The media-wall construction and AV infrastructure had to work together. Prewire, conduit and media-box locations needed attention before drywall where applicable, so the television, moving mount, audio system and cable management could fit the customer’s design.
The Solution
The theater portion paired an approximately 85-inch Sony television with a motorized MantelMount, Sony Theater Quad surround system and SW5 subwoofer. Bold City handled mounting and cable management, eARC and Dolby Atmos configuration, system programming/calibration and testing. Coordination with the construction work kept the technology aligned with the planned media wall.
Equipment & Infrastructure
The wider residential scope included a Ubiquiti gateway and three U6-Pro access points, with hardwired connectivity for the living-room and bedroom televisions. Security combined multiple exterior cameras, a video doorbell and approximately three interior Uniview fisheye cameras with a 16-channel NVR and approximately 2TB of local storage. The photographed fisheye is one component of that larger system.
Installation & Progress

Result
Media-wall AV, networking and security were delivered as coordinated parts of the same home. The customer received a configured theater system, wired and wireless connectivity, and broader camera coverage. The photographs document the installation; room finishing was still underway when the media-wall image was taken.
